Any good? I am looking for a basic kit to light scenes and then add additional lightning with halogen lamps and a pair of Bowen Esprits.

Can't go wrong with a decent set of redheads IMO.
Although why you'd buy rather than rent them I don't know.

Any low budgeter might consider these cheapo lights, that, with a little modification & some gels, work a treat.

I can vouch for Mod's suggestion. I have used worklights before and they do work well. The only downside is that you would have try and create your own barndoors. Luckily I didn't need any on my shoot.

Thanks for the low-budget suggestions. I prefer pro equipment as this is for a broadcast shot. I don't want to rent as I will hopefully be using these lights quite often.

Somewhere inbetween the low budget and pro options I found these on theKeene website. They sound pretty good for the money. Only 300W but they should be as good as lilliput lights.

I got two decent lights already (which I bought used): http://www.waltersphotovideo.co.uk/d...2%20Head%20kit
However, their output is not bright enough so I intend to augment them with the readheads.
